I want more books that queer the traditional family structure and use creativity to open our eyes to imagining a future beyond the heteronormative nuclear family. There was a deft use of flashbacks and non-linear timeline to reflect on the ways in which the main trio gets to the situation where they are considering non-normative parenting structure.
