I'm very conflicted on how to rank this book. I went in with the expectation of more romance than was delivered that left me craving more from the story. It just was so close to being better, but it missed the mark for me. The two main love interests didn't feel realistic and it just seemed more like two high school kids that had crushes on each other because they spent time together. I also feel that the ending was a bit rushed and confusing with the main plotline'; so for that I'm going to stick with a 3 star rating.
That's not to say I didn't enjoy the story. It was cute and cozy and delightful but it definitely is missing a big portion of emotional impact that would have made this story unforgettable.
As it sits this is a booktok hype book that kind of fell flat for me.
The writers style and pacing was good though so I may down the line read the next book in the series, but I'm not jumping right into it anytime soon.
