The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
5.0
I already knew the plot and yet I still (almost) hyperventilated from crying.
I've watched this film twice and during the entirety of the book I kept thinking to myself "I'm sure I won't cry, I mean, I already know exactly what's going to happen, right?".
And then I read the final chapter.
I've sent texts while crying and I've scared my mum by waking her up and saying (while crying) "it's over" and asking for a hug.
I thought no book could make me cry after We were liars, but guess I was wrong.
(We were liars made me cry harder, but god this was a tough one too.)
