This Dark Endeavor by Kenneth Oppel

4.0

I have a confession to make: I've never actually read Frankenstein. But I am a huge fan of Kenneth Oppel which I really the only reason I read (listened to) this book. It's one of those situations where, had it not been for my admiration of the author, I would've completely passed this book by.

Having said that, I feel like Kenneth Oppel did not let me down. He wrote what would have been an otherwise agonizing story for me to get through and made it enjoyable. More than enjoyable actually. Oppel has this magic ability to write in such a way that makes you feel like you're watching a movie. His books are really made for cinema in my opinion and I really don't know how none of his books haven't been made into movies by now. I think This Dark Endeavor has the most likely chance to become a movie simply due to the popularity of anything to do with Frankenstein.
