This book reminds me in the best way possible of Georgette Heyer's style. This is a very easy to read Regency romance, with little funny moments rooted in social class/commentary and a kindhearted heroine. I enjoyed Diana and Regina's friendship and seeing Diana gain confidence in herself. The romance is sweet (kisses only - as befits the Regency style) and there are happy endings for many characters.
I wouldn't have minded a little more drama by seeing the ladies rewrite the rules with more flair (perhaps if Diana had enjoyed society's company more before becoming smitten), but this is a quick and comforting romance to pick up. The cover is also gorgeous with Regency fashion.
