Listened as Audiobook, narrated by Katherine Kellgren. Enjoyed the narrator’s style, which was engaging and enjoyable. Young adult and mystery, this book focuses on 14 year old Enola Holmes, the much younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes. Left alone in the country with her mother, Enola was not taught the ways of Victorian young women and prefers “unladylike pursuits.” When her mother disappears on her birthday, Enola uses her skill with ciphers to decode hidden messages her mother left for her. She ultimately travels to London to continue her search for her mother, assuming a disguise to avoid her brothers, during which she discovers the whereabouts of Lord Tewkesbury, a potentially kidnapped Viscount. The search for her mother is paused while she and Tewkesbury evade the villains in London.

Borrowed this audiobook from the library because I liked the movie adaptation on Netflix. However, the movie adaptation differs in several meaningful ways from the book that I recall.
