Bound by Family by Ryan Michele

4.0

I've read a couple of books in the previous 'Ravage MC' series but you don't need to have read any to read and enjoy this book.

If you like MC romances then you will enjoy this. The plot is well thought through and held my interest from start to finish, although I did struggle with the quite violent prologue. The style of writing is really easy to read and the dialogue flows naturally, the book is also written from both the hero and heroine's POV so you get to 'know' them really well.

Cooper was so sweet at times and so very hot I couldn't help but like him. Despite the lifestyle he leads, his strong moral code and love of family made him a really good character to have as a hero. Bristyl, despite being part of an MC family, seemed less comfortable with this and almost a little naive at times. Despite working for the MC it felt like she had very little knowledge about them and little to do with However I did like her as a character and strength through the story. The chemistry and developing relationship between Cooper and Bristyl was really well written.

Whilst in general the writing flows nicely, and the overall pace was good, in the second half of the book we seemed to have several different parts of the story 'sprung' on us and then dealt with very rapidly. I still enjoyed the story but I felt that opportunities for build-up and suspense were missed.

I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more books in this series.
