I was really intrigued to read this one however, it was a slog. It is such a big book for a YA novel and could’ve been trimmed down. There were also some bits that just seemed too fantastical for this book. I wasn’t really a fan of the characters, but there were some scenes that redeemed themselves for me and while I appreciate the mental health rep, I don’t think it’s appropriate for the focus to be that the main MMC’s are living for each other (I know there’s mentions of ‘live for yourself’, but that wasn’t nearly addressed as much). In saying that, I will probably read the next book when it comes out.

Massive TW for s**cidal ideology and s*lf-h*rm
