House of Furies by Madeleine Roux

2.0

I want to start this review off by saying that the ending was really good. The atmosphere and characters were so interesting. The plot has so much potential and there were moments where it got spooky. However, there are so many things left unanswered. There are pages devoted to trying to explain them but I felt like I finished reading it with more questions than answers.

The main "villain" Mr Morningside was so intriguing but by the end of the book I knew the same amount as when I started the book.

It has been set up for a second book which I would be interested to read and I hope it goes into more detail about the supernatural.
