Reckless Refuge by Catherine Cowles
5.0

Shay is working as a caretaker living and working in a secluded island, exactly the way she wants it, she has found a safe place where she can hide from the past that hurt her.

This safe place is disturbed when the island is being sold, she must make sure her job is secured and she is determined to make herself helpful but also invisible.

Brody bought the island because he needs a place away from everyone and everything, he hopes that the beautiful landscape and distance will help battle the painter's block he has and that it will help him recover a cruel episode.

The two of them are living in closed proximity, the island is the perfect location for a romance to start.

They both are hoping to leave painful experiences behind. I loved they way they opened up and helped each other along the way. The pace of the romance seemed natural and not forced at all, there was a great build up with an even greater pay off once they became a couple.

As for all the books in the series the plot is filled with suspense and mystery, which was very well written and kept my interest the whole time I was reading.

I am very excited to read the last book in the series soon.
