I think you need to be in a very specific mindset and place in life to connect with this well. Sadly, that was not my position and it felt mostly patronising, egocentric and pseudo-intellectual to me.

Minor: Vomit

There were several mentions of characters throwing up, if I remember correctly, but they were very short and "just a side note", so it didn't bother me personally much. I think it was mostly in the first half and only about three times or so.
