What My Bones Know: A Memoir of Healing from Complex Trauma

I liked this book. Anyone who has dealt with PTSD will find something to relate to here. It is definitely a memoir however. Anyone looking for a guidebook or help with PTSD may not find much useful here. The authors journey is one of remarkable privilege, ultimately leveraging her status as a journalist to access the very highest level of care. I don’t mean that as a slight against the author - she just has resources that may not be available to most readers. If you are looking for a story of hope and recovery told by an experienced storyteller then you have found the right book.
