It was difficult to begin and to keep reading, because of the writing style, but eventually I found myself hooked with the story. There's so much intimacy in this book, to the point where it almost feels like I, the reader, am intruding. Every intimate moment is a push-and-pull, and then it ends with a knife twisting in your gut. This was brilliant and heartbreaking, and I'm glad I read it.
