I have so many thoughts on this book.

Everything was just so good! This really has me thinking of what it would be like if humanity did achieve immortality - if we took death into our own hands and had to judge who died instead of leaving it up to nature. It was so fascinating and had me stopping to think many times.

The characters were also amazing. I loved seeing how Rowan and Citra progressed as scythes and people as their apprenticeships went on, and now they changed after
Faraday died and they were passed to new mentors

My favourite moments were
Goddard’s death
because he absolutely deserved it and
Citra becoming a scythe. Scythe Anastasia was an awesome name choice
because just yes.

I loved reading the scythe journal entries. It was fun seeing a little more into different scythe’s thoughts on matters and how even older scythes have changed and grown over the centuries.

Just, overall, an amazing book and I can’t wait to read the sequel.
