A nice fantasy story for fans of Critical Role. The story itself is nothing groundbreaking and reminiscent of typical fantasy stories of the 80's and 90's, although with more LGBTQ+ elements. What made it more interesting was the dual viewpoint of the twins, and how easily heroes and villains can be swapped if seen from different angles. What I enjoyed most was how Marieke Nijkamp perfectly captured Matt Mercer's way of storytelling and descriptions, as well as the twin's mannerisms and way of speaking - I could hear Laura and Liam in my head whenever Vex and Vax talked.
