Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

A heist! The makings of found family! Characters that definitely annoy/hate each other but actually they don't! I had a lot more fun reading this than the S&B trilogy, and maybe it's because of the wider cast of characters/PoV, but maybe also because heists are fun. I really appreciated how things didn't go according to plan, but improvising still got them where they needed (though statistically, their levels of success for being a pack of teenagers is... awfully high).

I now feel capable of watching the Netflix adaptation, though I'm curious how they'll blend in the Crows crew since this seemingly takes place a few years AFTER the events of the trilogy, based on Nina's comments about the state of Ravka. I suppose they could work concurrently, would just have to change some of Nina's perspectives/attitudes and maybe the name of one of Inej's knives. Definitely going to look for [b:Crooked Kingdom|22299763|Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2)|Leigh Bardugo|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1456172607l/22299763._SY75_.jpg|42090179] at the library after work today.
