Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.

Good question. It felt like a chore to pick it up, but I'm not 100% certain why.

I don't love the characters thus far, and while I don't usually struggle reading dialects, the Scottish brogue is slowing me down.

It's just not a fit for me right now.
