An interesting story of womanhood. I liked the idea of “the god of inside” v. “The god of outside”, I think that is an interesting topic to think about even today. I wish it was scarier - it’s classified as horror but I it only has some gore, no true horror and hardly a sense of foreboding. I kept waiting for something crazy to happen, but even the weird stuff was not all that weird. Overall, it was a decent feminist tale in the early 1900s, and I enjoyed the journal format, but I probably wouldn’t necessarily recommend or read again.
