Geisha: A Life by Mineko Iwasaki

3.0

This has been on my TBR since I read Memoirs of a Geisha over several years ago, but this really didn't hold up. Granted, Memoirs of a Geisha is fictional (with significantly more drama), and this is an autobiography. Honestly though, I don't fully buy everything the author wrote. She was either one of the most precocious children in recorded history or is possibly remembering things differently than her young mind at the time might have. Regardless, the book is still a solid read.
