Wow. Just, wow. I feel like everyone should read The Hunger Games in today’s world, where it honestly isn’t too far from reality.
Collins is a brilliant writer. Her books were a warning. They were beautifully made, and the way she writes Katniss’s perspective makes everything so real.
I first watched The Hunger Games when I was a child. Not the brightest idea to have a kid watch the movies, but I ending up loving them anyway. The Mockingjay Part 2 came out on my birthday, and all little me wanted to do was go see it at the theaters. That was my birthday gift. It was amazing. However, it wasn’t until now that I could fully appreciate the stories for what they are. I’d read this series a hundred times over and still find something new or interesting about it. It’s a for sure recommended read from me.
The ending does feel a little rushed, but other than that, a fantastic read.
