This was a really nice, wholesome, feel-good book - even the conflict felt positive in some ways. There are really only good things to say about the main characters, Bo and Win. They are well-rounded, intelligent and emotionally available. Their issues are relatable, and they highlight some really important messages.
First, that you can do anything you set your mind to and are stronger than you think. Don’t let anyone tell you who you are or what you’re capable of, and finally, love is precious. These two face a lot of challenging decisions by each other’s side, but the greatest one of all is, as with any good romance book, their desire to be together.
One of my favourite sentiments from this book was that he loved her inclusive of, not in spite of, her disability. He made her feel seen, accepted, and understood - and vice versa. They taught each other what it felt like to be truly and fully appreciated, and that is something I believe we all deserve in our love stories.
So many important themes were covered, and one of my favourites was the mental health aspect. The way Hannah approached insecurities, addressing them and challenging them, both within ourselves and with the help of our loved ones, was amazing.
This love story identified very important messages, challenging readers’ mentality. I appreciated the importance of these messages and the positive atmosphere they created.
“You are my soul’s purpose, Win. To know you, to love you, to build a family with you, to spend every day taking care of you, to watch you shine and get all the good things you deserve out of this life.”
