Death in Daylesford by Kerry Greenwood

I liked this story well enough but I will admit that it probably falls lower on the rung, if not closest to the bottom. Of course Phryne is her usual interesting self, but I felt like the plot really only gave us one or two clues of who the main antagonist was so I was caught off guard instead of being blown away. And some of the descriptors in the beginning seemed out of place when you've read the whole series.

I also was hoping to get a bit more of Jane, Ruth, and Tinker considering this was technically the first mystery they solved without Phryne around, especially since Tinker is interested in going into police work and investigating.

Overall, an alright Phryne book but didn't quite capture my interest like the other books have.
