The Sixth Wedding: A 28 Summers Story by Elin Hilderbrand

3.0

I was really excited to listen to this novel on audiobook because I loved "28 Summers." Part of my issue with the book is that I read 28 Summers two years ago. So, when Hilderbrand jumped right into the story with no preface I was very lost in the sauce. I felt like I was dropped into a world with very little context. The plot was very thin, which I expected in a short book. However, this novel felt like it was in limbo. I wanted closure for 28 Summers and felt like I somehow had less closure after this work. My thoughts are that Hilderbrand half committed to writing this book. I felt like she either needed to flesh this plot and book out more or not write it at all. I would not recommend that anyone who read and enjoyed "28 Summers" read this book.
