A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
2.0
This isn't a review, its more just about my thoughts on the book. It's GoT, and I was late to the ship on reading before the show.
Not a popular opinion, hated the book, loved the show and I watched the show first.
I think I would have hated myself for slogging through this book, its just not my cup of tea. Its a story about kingdoms, people, religions and interactions between them all, but surprise...there are dragons. The show did a really good job at making this boring read entertaining. Glad I went with the audiobook and book combo so I didn't have to struggle through all the words.
I honestly just read this book to see how much it differed from the show and I can finally put to rest the whole "book is better than the show" argument...because they are so similar I couldn't tell the difference.
