Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

Eh. I feel about this like I do the others in the series, it's fine. It's not great but it's not the worst thing nor so problematic that it shouldn't ever be read. The Mormon influence again shows up, the fact that Edward is way older than Bella and this inherently affects the dynamic of their relationship in a negative, unbalanced way shows up, the fact that Bella is a teenager and just really....silly at times shows up. I feel like this book really hammered in how 'special' Bella is for no real reason, so that was a bit of extra annoyance. This book is also the one where we officially learn about Jasper's troubled past (which really, did you really have to go with that backstory? rough).

Alice was great though. She gets a bit more time to shine in this one so that was nice.
