The Catalog: FM, rival families / enemies to lovers, long messy history, fake marriage, fighting as foreplay, forced proximity, mutual pining, jealous & possessive MMC, they’re secretly obsessed with each other, sick/care, “just once to get it out of our systems”, idiots in love

Synopsis: The Hunters and Princes have been fighting over disputed land for so long that when Emory finds a way to split it between her and the Prince Heir, Aiden, it seems too good to be true. In fact, it IS too good to be true, because as the deed states, Emory will have to marry her mortal enemy Aiden. They agree to a fake marriage long enough to get the land, but everything becomes far too real when Aiden realizes that Emory brings him to life.

Thoughts:
The number one way to my heart is through a well executed fighting-as-foreplay trope, and holy canoly, Sophia Travers hit this out of the park. It was incredible! The anger, the tension, the yearning?!?! Sizzling, folks, sizzling. Pair that with a fake marriage and you might as well put a stamp on me, because I’m signed, sealed, and delivered.

The Heir has all of the ingredients for a perfect romcom: messy history, forced proximity, confusing feelings, genuine characters, and tons of hot AND hilarious banter. This was such a pleasure to read! The plot? Two people on opposite sides of a feud doing whatever it takes to be who they’re supposed to be. The romance? Competition is their k!nk but so is caring for each other and leaving love notes that are totally not love notes. The feels? Laughing, blushing, crying. The smut? Damn, just damn.

I could really go on and on about how much I loved this one! Aiden and Emory have my whole heart and I definitely recommend to romcom lovers!
