Thoughts from my original read in 2013 (obviously I had no clue about how big the scope of the series would become 😂):
Has anyone noticed that she refuses to talk about her parents and that's it's obviously a touchy subject (I know obvi but wait for it) ... she was orphaned at the age of eight. Ten years ago (she's now EIGHT-teen), the royal family was brutally murdered.
Hmmm, I'm sensing a connection!
I have a feeling she's to be the heir/re-incarnated Erilea and Dorian will take after Gavin.
I also have a feeling that she feels attraction for Dorian but has a true connection with Chaol, since they started out as enemies and then warmed into friends, slowly turning into best friends.
But Dorian, I have a feeling will win her heart in the end BUT it will come with a lot of grief and heartache - due to the emotions of destroying Dorian's father and restoring their home to what it once was ... i have this REALLy bad feeling that Chaol will die.
But I guess we'll see ... but I'm still sticking with Celaena being the rightful heir to the land of Tarrasen (also where Erilea (who was the only princess) lived before she married Gavin, Dorian's great grand-father (like 1000 years ago!)
Mature Themes: Yes
• Sexual content doesn’t surpass kissing and sexual innuendos
— there’s an allusion to Dorian having past sexual relationships
Possible Triggers: Yes
• Murder
• Torture
• Gore
• Knife violence
• Slavery (on-page)
• Discussion of a massacre
• Mutilation of a dead body
• Medical trauma
• Vomit
Ending:HFN — Celaena is the King’s Champion, single and ready to be free
