I Invited Her in
by Adele Parks
Solid 3.5 stars!
I was gifted this copy a while back and was finally in the mood for a decent thriller.
Where this lacked: I would not really call this a thriller. It was a SLOW build, domestic drama. I felt like the twists were fairly obvious and long-winded. Abigail was the worst. Ben was great the whole time til he wasn't then he was normal again?? The story made me uncomfy at times. Tanya felt convenient.
Where this was good: It did keep my attention, even though it was long. I was intrigued with how the end would unfold (though I did guess right). Melanie was fairly likable and I appreciated her reflecting on her poor choices after they were made. Imogen and Lily were adorable.
