Kamikaze Girls (Manga)
by Novala Takemoto
emotional
lighthearted
fast-paced
accidentally got this from the library instead of the novel so didn't start off on the best foot. the art is quite nice (partly from nostalgia), but the actual adaption is only half of the page count. its very fast paced and so the emotional beats dont land that well. its just OK. there is a very icky sequel by the artist, Kanesada, and it's much more romance focused than on ichigo and momoko's friendship. and after that an even more awful original story by Kanesada about a romantic relationship between a high schooler and an adult man . disappointing. still hope to read the translated novel as I enjoyed the teaser excerpt in the back and am a fan of the movie adaptation.
