A Short History of the Girl Next Door by Jared Reck

5.0

I read this book in one sitting because 1) I couldn't put it down and 2) it's pretty short but oh so rich. It made me laugh out loud multiple times and Matt now is one of my favorite characters ever. The writing style is so unique and amazing. It felt like I actually heard Matt talking about his life instead of an author's voice speaking which I really liked. Reading the synopsis, this book sounds like one of the most cliché YA books that follows the same plot line as hundreds of other books but it really isn't. It's amazing. Go read it and let your heart be torn apart.
