The Return of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
4.0

This is possibly the strongest Holmes collection of short stories - maybe the break gave him that needed creative spark but there's a complexity, depth and a consistent quality that is not always present in the other collections (though to be fair, there's not much in it - the quality is pretty consistent throughout).

Due to the irregular nature of the library, this is the last collection in the series on my current re-read. It's an excellent strong finale and I have nothing but high praise for Stephen Fry. His narration has been spectacular, rich and varied with wonderful voice work and accents and a strong warmth throughout.

It's been great re-visiting the series. Maybe in a decade I'll swing by Baker Street again, check in on the old gang.
