I did finish this but I found that it was a promising set of plot lines squashed into a romance mold, and therefore disappointing. There were at least four different backstories (he has two, they had at least one, and she had one) and two solid issues to develop (gentrification, the role of social media) AND Wesley had to layer in what my friend Michele calls “the smut”. Too much for 324 pages. Lots of skimming for me!
