The Ohana Cottage by Megan Reinking

2.0

This book had such a great premise and I really wanted to love it but I didn't. I loved the uniqueness of John and Mia's relationship and I'm a sucker for the grumpy x sunshine trope, and I'm sure I would've loved the story if the writing was more focused on showing rather than telling. The author does a lot of telling, which I'm sure some people might have enjoyed, but it's not really my thing. I think this story would've done great as a movie (it's short, fast-paced, light-hearted...) but as a book, there's a lot that was missing.
