Most dystopians are based around stealing to survive, but this one is so much more!! Bird, the 17 year old main character, fights an alcohol addiction that makes her black out and wake up in places she doesn’t remember going to. In her teen angst she steals her rivals necklace which leads her on a great escape from the enemy with her friend.
There is so many things that seem like simple world building but ends up being very relevant later. I love these kind of books where you almost need to read them twice to catch all the hints the author left along the way.
