“Mr. Swoony” 🏒 👰🏼♀️ I have loved this Piper Rayne series since the first book and book 3 did not disappoint. The audiobook duet narration is perfect! It’s a slow burn for a “stop the wedding” moment but Conor, the MMC, was in love at first sight and falls hard. Elouise, FMC, has been questioning everything since her engagement started (read the first 2 books to see the signs) but when she feels an instant emotional connection when she meets Conor, it only takes her a little while longer to realize she should have called the wedding off a long time ago. Book 4 releases in only 2 months, I highly recommend listening to all audiobooks in order before April 2025!
I wish it was less of slow burn, as we knew they were going to end up together from book 2. This is why it’s not a 5 star for me.
One Conor hiding about his stalker was just unbelievable to me, I mean she clearly was crazy enough for you to have a restraining order from her in the last state. As soon as she sent the mail and texts, he should have told the police and his agent.
Also, the moment at the end with the brass knuckles made me laugh even though it wasn’t a funny moment. It was a little far fetched. Maybe a taser or something that a woman would regularly carry on them would have been more believable. This is why it's a 4.5 star not a 4.75 star for me.
