I was excited for this book, I knew going in I was in for a spicy, kinky ride. The author was great about trigger warnings and the concept was so exciting and original to me. I’d heard the storyline was good as well and it wasn’t all sex. I’m 60% through this thing and the plot is non existent. The guy Don seems to be some super adept who can do anything perfect for his first try. Think magical snowflake MC but with sex. The sex scenes are PLENTIFUL but just didn’t interest me. I’ve read BDSM books in the past and love them. Yes some of the kinks (I’m looking at you pony-play) were not to my personal liking but that’s not what bothered me/ I think what got to me is it felt so impersonal. There was no real connection with the characters except Dom and Olbric and even then it was surface level. Everything felt surface level, no depth of character there, absolutely no movement in the already thin plot. I was so disappointed and seeing I had 100 pages to go this book just lost my interest.
