There was something deeply refreshing & relatable about this story as Molly rediscovers a part of herself that she had lost over the years due to growing up too fast, too soon & struggles with masking her personality.

George was my favourite! I absolutely loved him & his friendship with Desmond. Also, George’s grandparents & Molly’s mum were incredible.

However, I did struggle a bit with how modern the dialogue felt at times. While the childhood friends to lovers angle between Desmond & Molly was sweet, I also felt confused by the almost-but-not-quite love triangle with George. Personally (& maybe it’s the part of me that prefers enemies to lovers) I loved Molly & George’s interactions best & what they brought out in each other.

Victoria was something of a puzzle to me. She was nasty to everyone but her fiancé, and it’s because he’s the only one she can be her authentic self with. Then suddenly she would be super nice to Molly…

There’s an intriguing dash of mystery & I know this is only part 1 of the story, so I am curious how all the threads resolve!

Overall, it’s a sweet, cosy, gentle story touched with whimsy & Peter Pan elements!
