The Shadow of Kyoshi
by F.C. Yee
This one was a page turner; read it in two sittings. I liked it more than the first Kyoshi novel. That might be because it was set more in the Fire Nation and I enjoyed reading about their culture and society and applying it to the show and characters like Azula and Zuko. It felt a bit like I was reading a Fire Nation history book and that was hella cool. And the spirits and Spirit World continue to impress me. They are all so unique and, in Father Glowworm's case, compellingly creepy. Yee definitely did the Avatar franchise justice!
