Alexander Hamilton
by Ron Chernow
The 731 pages that comprise this tome seemed like a daunting undertaking, but much to my surprise I found that not a word was wasted. I was totally engrossed! I never thought I would say that the details of the founding of the federal bank were so fascinating I couldn't put it down, but Chernow has such a way with words that I couldn't wait to continue! This is absolutely one of the best biographies I have ever read. No stone is left unturned, and it is a relatively even handed look at a remarkable figure in American history. I cannot recommend this book enough.
