Last Chance Summer by Shannon Klare

5.0

This just became one of my new favorite books! I loved every single page of this book with my entire heart and I so want a sequel to know about Grant and Alex. Shannon Klare did an outstanding job of developing Alex and Grant as characters and added so much depth to them that I didn’t know was possible. Having Alex and Grant both have pasts that haunt them and have shaped them into the people they were today, and sharing a similar experience, really made me fall in love with them even more and made them feel real. As I read this book, I felt like I knew who they were, but Klare kept adding layers that I didn’t know existed. I also liked how she set the book at a camp setting because it really tied into Alex not being able to face the real world before she could face her demons. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone because it not only was a great romance, it was a great story of overcoming your past and putting forth the effort to let go.
