zianeu 's review for:
The Laughing Corpse
by Laurell K. Hamilton
I'm told that this series degenerates into a prurient mess, later, but this book's okay in a simple way. I can't get enough books with a real female protagonist who is in charge of herself and her destiny, and Anita starts out fairly strong.
The world's not quite different enough, or I don't get to see the differences, for a world where so much is "commonly" known about the paranormal, but that's not the worst thing in the world.
