Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich
4.0
I'm adding a review after listening to the audio version of Plum Lucky in 2015. I previously read the hardcover in 2008.
I think the narration of Lorelai King greatly enhances the Stephanie Plum stories. The formulaic set-up and the general ineptitude of Stephanie as a bounty hunter and a car owner aren't as annoying when you have Lorelai voicing Lula, Connie and Grandma. She brings such life and energy to these comedic characters.
The "between the numbers" stories with Diesel are a little more interesting too because the ridiculous Ranger vs Morelli isn't a plot line. Instead Stephanie is searching for an FTA that has a connection to a character that Diesel is looking for.
I gave this book a 3 as a book that I read. I'd give it a 4 as an audiobook, again because of the genius that is Lorelai King's narration.
