This was such a fun read in classic Holly Black style with high stakes, daring heroines, and equal parts fantastical and horrifying fairies.
I thought the plot was super fun, and the mystery was intriguing and resolved neatly. The characters were oh so lovable.
I just love how Black harnesses both the whimsy and terror of fairy stories.
My only complaint was toward the end, the characters had monologues that felt a little to perfect and not really how teens speak to each other, but I’ll give them a pass being nonhuman.

Moderate: Violence and Grief
The teens unpack some childhood abuse via neglect as the story goes along, I’d say the content is moderate.
