A gentle, whimsical read that felt like a familiar blanket or well-loved pillow... simple, warm, and quietly magical.
I’ve loved the Studio Ghibli film since childhood, and reading the story that inspired it felt like returning to something dear. While the book itself is episodic and understated, that’s part of its charm. It doesn’t need drama or grandeur to be special. Just a kind-hearted witch, her sassy black cat, and a town in need of a little magic.
