The story was interesting enough. I liked the bond the characters formed and the environment the author shared, creating a snapshot in a time . One I couldn’t imagine living through. That said I felt the way it was writen was too convenient for the characters. And the end felt disjointed. Perhaps if it was classified as a YA it would’ve felt more aligned with expectations.
