Remember Love by Mary Balogh

3.0

Remember Love had a good premise and sympathetic leads (though I was annoyed at Devlin for his word choice whilst confronting his father's mistress) but I think suffered a bit due to pacing. I would have preferred more time spent in the latter half of the book and less time spent on the buildup in the former. In terms of editorial choices, I do understand the thinking behind setting the perceived perfection of Devlin's world, but I think it was too much. I also think too many pages were devoted to describing the splendour of Ravenswood. Despite these criticisms, I did like the book and I am a fan of Balogh's internal monologues. I am looking forward to reading Philippa's story when it comes out this spring/summer.
