I think this is probably the first book that I will say that I'll take no criticism of.
I loved everything about this slow-burn friends-to-lovers romance. It was done so perfectly. The buildup of Charlotte and Sutton's relationship starting off as friends and then building up to friends with benefits and finally realizing thing feelings for each other was just pure perfection. I can see it all happening in real life which is perfect for a contemporary romance.
And though it is a lot longer than most other contemporary romances, the pacing was actually so well done. I was never bored with the plot or the developing relationship. It never dragged for me. So even though the development is slow pacing, it wasn't a bad thing and actually contributed to the believability of the relationship.
I also loved the character growth that both Sutton and Charlotte went through. Sutton really learned how to ask for what she wants and have confidence in herself while Charlotte learned to connect with her feelings and acknowledge that it's okay to have them in general. Both are important things to learn and I think both characters were able to fully grow and be fleshed out by the end. It was really amazing to see.
Also, the spicy scenes were fantastic. This is an author who knows how to write good sapphic spice and use it tastefully in times where it's needed without overpowering the story and plot with it even though they were literally friends with benefits for a good portion of the book. It was very refreshing to see not only good sapphic spice scenes but also a good plot and story to go along with it.
So yeah, no criticisms of this book ever. Thanks!
