I have thought for quite some time that I had read this book. It wasn’t until someone gave me the prequel that I discovered I had not read it. I have no clue how I decided I had read it but I ran to the library and grabbed it so now it has been read. It’s a definite slow burn. There were times I wanted things to hurry up but overall I enjoyed the detail and the build up. It’s not a surprise or a twist what happens which is why I only gave it 4 stars. I couldn’t wait for Amber to learn her lesson and get what she deserved. The author did a really good job of evoking emotion because I wanted to throat punch Jackson. It’s for sure a book about the grass is not always greener or you never know what goes on behind closed doors. I found it really interesting that Liv Constantine is the pen name of sisters Lynne Constantine and Valerie Constantine. They are separated by three states plotting their books via FaceTime and emails.
