Perilous Trust by Barbara Freethy
4.0

This was a fast-paced story with likeable characters. Sophie Parker's father heads the organized crime unit of the FBI in New York. He is killed and left her a message telling her not to trust anyone, even the FBI, prior to his death. Sophie met FBI agent, Damon Wolfe, four years ago at the wake of a mutual friend. They spent the night together. Neither has really gotten over that night, but they haven't seen each other since. Damon recently moved to NY to work for her father. Sophie is running as her Dad told her to. Damon finds her and they go on the run together. They barely escape a couple of times. They don't know who they can't trust in the FBI. The storyline was interesting and it wrapped up well. I really enjoyed this and would recommend it. I will definitely read more books in this series.
