Carley has a way with her words. I don’t know how she does it. She painted PEI in the most beautiful light, and even tho I don’t like oysters or seafood, I want to go see it for myself.

“As the last blush leaves the sky and the horizon disappears into twilight blue, headlights shine on the side of Ken’s work shed. My arms pebble. My skin knows.”

As always, I loved the pain that came with Lucy and Felix’s second chance romance. I found myself looking forward to the chapters in the past to get more back story of Felix and Lucy’s “relationship.” In the present day, I loved Felix’s sweetness and patience with Lucy.

“Our friendship is how I learned to compromise. It’s how I learned that the families we make are as significant as the ones we’re born into. It’s how I learned that the greatest loves are not always romances.”

My only issue was Bridget’s reason for going back to PEI was not great. I was expecting something far better and I was just kind of let down like, that’s it?

Overall I enjoyed the book. It had a really great Brooke Davis/Lucas Scott rain scene IYKYK!!!
